Flow vs MindbodyThe local-first alternative
Mindbody is the biggest name in fitness software, and it earned that reputation in the US and Europe. But if you run a padel club, gym, studio or academy whose customers expect Arabic, local payment methods and WhatsApp, you end up working around it every day: no Arabic, no mada, no local e-invoicing, no WhatsApp. Flow was built for exactly that gap.

Quick verdict
Two good products, built for two different worlds
Mindbody is a mature, deeply featured platform with the largest consumer marketplace in fitness. For a boutique studio in California or London that wants new-client discovery from a consumer app, it is a safe default.
Flow is for venues that need those capabilities built in. Arabic-first and bilingual by default, local payment methods such as mada and Apple Pay through licensed local gateways with payouts in your own currency, locally compliant e-invoicing (for example ZATCA), and customer communication on WhatsApp, because that is where your customers already are. And your members stay yours: there is no marketplace showing them competing venues, and no commission on your own customers.

Credit where due
Where Mindbody is genuinely strong
An honest comparison starts by admitting what the other side does well. Mindbody has real strengths. They just sit alongside real gaps in local payments, language and messaging.
- Marketplace reach: the Mindbody Marketplace and Explore app can bring brand-new clients to studios in dense US and European markets, a discovery channel almost no competitor matches there.
- Ecosystem maturity: two decades in the market, a large integration catalog, and a wide network of certified consultants and partners.
- Depth for large fitness chains: enterprise-scale features refined over years of serving multi-site gym and studio brands.
- Consumer brand recognition: in North America, many gym-goers already have the Mindbody app on their phones.
The Flow case
Where Flow is strong
Arabic is the default
Real right-to-left Arabic across the booking page, admin dashboard, receipts and WhatsApp messages, with English one tap away. Mindbody publicly lists EU and US locales only; your Arabic-speaking customers would book in English or not at all.
Local payments that actually close
Local payment methods such as mada and Apple Pay, alongside Visa and Mastercard, through licensed local gateways, with payouts in your own currency, plus locally compliant e-invoicing (for example ZATCA) through Wafeq, Qoyod, Daftra, Zoho Books, Odoo and Oracle. No foreign-processor workarounds, no compliance gaps.
WhatsApp, because that is where your customers are
Booking confirmations, reminders and payment links over the official WhatsApp Business API, plus an AI concierge that answers and books for customers around the clock. Over 100,000+ messages delivered so far.
Your members stay yours
No marketplace showing your members the venue across the street, and no commission on bookings from your own customers. Your branded page, your domain, and an optional branded iOS app. The customer relationship belongs to you.
Built to run courts as well as classes
Court and facility scheduling, split payments between players, peak-hour pricing, coach management with pay tracking: the operations padel clubs, academies and multi-sport venues actually run, alongside classes and memberships.
Pricing that does not ambush you at renewal
Mindbody renewal increases of 50 to 100% or more after introductory pricing are widely reported by customers, on standard annual contracts. Flow pricing is transparent and tailored to your venue size: no intro rate that doubles later, and no lock-in.
Features built when you ask
Your requests go straight to the team that builds Flow. We shipped more than 600 features in the last three months, many of them first built for a single venue, so the platform keeps fitting how you run your business.
The honest split

Choose Mindbody if…
- You operate in North America or Europe, where the Marketplace has real consumer density.

FAQ
Flow vs Mindbody: common questions
Is Flow a good Mindbody alternative for venues that need Arabic and local payments?
Yes. Flow is built for exactly those needs: Arabic-first bilingual UX, local payment methods such as mada and Apple Pay through licensed local gateways with local-currency payouts, locally compliant e-invoicing (for example ZATCA), and WhatsApp notifications with an AI concierge. It already powers 25+ venues with 35,000+ bookings processed.
Can I migrate my members from Mindbody to Flow?
Yes. Flow has a self-serve spreadsheet import for customers and remaining package balances, and our team handles the migration with you: customers, memberships and credits. Venues typically take their first real bookings on Flow within about a week of deciding to switch.
Does Mindbody support Arabic or mada payments?
Based on publicly available information as of August 2026, Mindbody supports EU and US locales only, with no Arabic UI or RTL, and its payment stack does not include local payment methods such as mada, nor tax e-invoicing integration. Venues that need those capabilities typically run Mindbody in English with card-only international payment rails.
Does Flow have a marketplace like Mindbody?
No, and that is deliberate. The Mindbody Marketplace can bring discovery, but it also shows your members competing venues and takes a publicly reported commission of around 20% on a member’s first booking made through it. On Flow, customers book on your branded page or app, your data stays yours, and there is no commission on your own customers.
How much does Flow cost compared to Mindbody?
Mindbody runs on annual contracts, and customers widely report renewal increases of 50 to 100% or more after introductory pricing. Flow pricing is transparent and tailored to your venue size, without lock-in renewal jumps. Talk to us on WhatsApp or book a demo for a quote that matches your courts, classes and locations.
Does Flow work for gyms and studios, or only padel clubs?
Both. Flow runs padel and racket clubs, gyms, fitness studios, academies and clinics: courts, classes, memberships and packages in one system. Today it serves 25+ venues and 28,000+ players and members.
This comparison is based on publicly available information as of August 2026 and on experiences publicly reported by users; features and pricing may have changed. What some of our clients say

“Booking a class takes seconds, the flow is clean and intuitive, and our members genuinely enjoy using it.”

Working with ASK AI has been one of the best decisions we made in building Frame. From day one they understood that a boutique studio lives or dies by the details, and they built us an app that reflects that: booking a class takes seconds, the flow is clean and intuitive, and our members genuinely enjoy using it. We’ve had clients comment on how effortless it is, which is rare praise for a booking system.
What impressed us most is that nothing was ever “not possible.” Every time we came to them with an idea (a custom feature, a change to how something worked, a request specific to how we run things), they found a way to make it happen, and usually made it better than we imagined.
The back end has been just as valuable. The CRM gives us real visibility into our members and our operations, it’s genuinely easy for the team to use, and it’s helped us make smarter decisions about everything from scheduling to retention. They’re not just developers, they’re partners in how we run the studio. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.
